Having a central theme called “Innovation Unplugged” that translates as “A Better Way”, as part of this activity Huawei Enterprise has five distinct focus areas:

  • Innovative Tele-Presence solutions
  • Video Surveillance solutions
  • ECC solutions
  • Unified Communications
  • IPCC solutions

All these solutions are targeted towards the enterprise segment in India. Huawei Enterprise announced its “Service Strategy” for the channel community in India realizing the importance of enabling service for the enterprise set of customers. As part of this strategy, Huawei is positioning its ‘Co-Care’ and ‘Hi-Care’ Enterprise Services in front of the channel partner community in India.

Over a period of time along with offering the best of breed enterprise products, Huawei Enterprise launched two new products:

  • 5700-LI Series Gigabit Switches
  • AR150 & AAR200 Series Enterprise Router

The S5700-LI Series Gigabit Enterprise switches are the next-generation energy-saving switches developed to meet the demand for high-bandwidth access and Ethernet multi-service aggregation. Available in four modes, S5700 supports the Smart Ethernet Protection [SEP] protocol, applied to the link layer on an Ethernet network. The Ethernet network provides point-to-point eternet fault management and can detect faults in the last mile of an Ethernet link. Thus making it reliable and highly scalable. Huawei’s S5700-LI series switches have recently received the IEC62368 certificate from the Underwriters Laboratories Incorporation (UL). This is the first IEC62368 certificate awarded on communications products. As the first company in the industry that has won this certificate, Huawei has set up an industry benchmark and, more importantly, demonstrates its core ideas of giving top priority to safety designs.

Core Features of AR150 & AR200:

  • Small Size and High Performance
  • Low Investment with High Returns
  • Small Product on a Comprehensive Platform

Huawei Enterprise was initially launched in March 2011 and the Enterprise Vertical in India began its operations in September last year. The company said that India is its second largest market outside of China with employee strength of over 6,500 and it has charted out a plan to achieve a target of $200 million revenue from India in 2012 and $15 billion in revenues by 2015. The company’s product IP is being developed out of Indian R&D centers. It has 2,000 channel partners and over a thousand service partners across the globe. Huawei’s primary focus in its venture in enterprise business would be around enhancing customer experience with a low TCO. The data center space is one of the fastest growing markets in India and Huawei Enterprise has charted out a strategy for this competitive market.
