Posted on April 10, 2012 by Nikhil P Naik

The Nokia Lumia 900, a appealing device and has currently become the a lot of heavily advertised gadgets. But of the late, many Lumia users have complained regarding a annoying bug on the Nokia forums. This bug is having an impact on the device’s 3G/4G connectivity as a result of which  is caused by the cutting off the data connection at any point like triggering airplane mode. Even then, the exact cause for this is not known entirely.

WPCentral forum user goeman said that the following steps that fixed his issue can be implemented by other users as well to get their problem solved. Here is the fix:

  1. Remove the SIM card.
  2. Let the SIM card be out for the next three steps.
  3. Perform a Master Reset (Settings > About).
  4. Let the product boot up without a SIM card.
  5. Turn off the device.
  6. Verify that the SIM card is LTE enabled.
  7. Insert SIM card and boot up.

Some users were benefited from this method while some were still left stranded. On Tuesday, AT&T and Nokia revealed about the bug and its confirmed that it’s a software issue and has nothing to do with the hardware. As a compensation AT&T is giving a $100 credit to thosewho purchasd the Lumia 900 from launch day and this would be valid till the midnight of April 21st. So, Nokia and AT&T have found a temporary fix to this solution in the form of this compensation which will make many people forget about this tiny bug problem. Users can just hope that the final reports of this bug issue doesn’t bring a negative impact on the phone.
