Every business should have a blog to go along with it. For one, it’s a great way to create informative, interesting content that gets your site more hits. But it’s also good for finding you new ways of making money. We’re not talking about directly monetising your blog (though that’s always a handy option). We’re talking about the ways a blog can help you generate new sales leads. Blogs build a community of engaged participants, depending on how good you are at it. Not only does it let you get in contact with them and build up knowledge of your demographic. It creates a great platform to offer exclusive deals and attractive calls-to-action.

Broadening your horizons

Perhaps the extra money you’re looking for comes from customers you’ve never thought to target before. When you’re running a business, it can be difficult to think about what obvious solutions you’re missing. It could be having your site translated to different languages and offering an international service. It might be not accepting certain payments and missing out on lots of customers who can’t give you their money. It could be using mobile app development agencies to make your business friendly to mobile device users. Think about how to make your business more accessible.

Think about new ways of marketing, as well. It doesn’t always have to involve you trying to catch people’s attention or trying to keep them on your site. Sometimes a third party can be just the thing you need. Influencer marketing has skyrocketed with the rise of the internet. Communities for just about every industry and lifestyle pop up on blogs and podcasts and the like. They already have an audience willing to listen to them. Using the right, relevant influencers can net you a lot of potential customers.

You can also make a lot more money just by changing how you package things together. People love a deal. If they see a product or service standing alone, they might take some time considering it. However, if they’re offered a package that contains a list of services or products, they can feel like they’re getting more for their money. Especially if you’re not providing physical products, it helps to package your services like you are. It also depends on the kind of business you’re running. If you’re providing expertise and coaching, think continuity packages. Customers are more likely to trust your expertise if you’re willing to give more of it.
