Still not convinced with Office 365?

You might not see it tangibly, but you’re missing on a TON (I repeat: A TON) of productivity features that Office 365 has in store for you.

Here are just 5 reasons to convince yourself why you need Microsoft 365 right now.

  1. The most common area of concern regarding the Microsoft 365 suit is its cloud service reliability. Since most storage we use right now is stored in the cloud, it makes sense that we should be able to easily access our data whenever and wherever we need it. Downtime means lost productivity and cost to us – whatever it is we’re doing.

Microsoft operates multiple datacenters all over the world. If there is a breakdown at one datacenter (which happens lesser than our salary raise), another immediately acts as a backup. Clients hosted by a datacenter are instantaneously transferred to another, with minimal service interruption.

  1. But is my data secure?” Microsoft says yes. As one of the most important factors in choosing a cloud-based service, security is one of the best features of office 365. The suite applications are accessed through 128-bit SSL/TSL encryption so that if a communication is seized by anyone without permission, they won’t be able to access it.

Antivirus signatures are also kept up to date, and security measures are utilized in accordance with the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing drive. The Exchange Online applies forefront Online Protection for exchange (FOPE) to safeguard your mail messages from malware, and it uses antivirus and anti-spam filtering with multiple virus engines. All to say that you’re as SAFE as you can be.

That’s almost out of the question if you’re using hacked versions of Office 365 or are using other alternative suites.

  1. Compatibility: The suit has been certified as compliant with ISO 27001 standards, passed SAS70 Type I and II audits, and approved with the EU Safe Harbor seal. The Outlook Web App inclusion can also be accessed using any of these browser versions: Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11, Mozilla Firefox 35.x +, Google Chrome 40+, Microsoft Edge.
  1. Feature Development: We’re pushing towards the last quarter of 2015, and thus the current version of Office 365 combines the 2016 releases of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. Microsoft Office 365 Home version, available at Harvey Norman, contains all the essential services you need for your family’s PC or Mac and mobile devices.

It also includes 1TB One Drive Cloud storage per user. More than enough for basic users. If you currently don’t have Office installed, you can use Office Web Apps to edit your documents in a web browser.

  1. Office Web Apps: The beauty of it all is that the Microsoft Office Web Apps is readily a part of Office 365, but it’s not there to replace the full-featured Office applications installed in your rig – rather to supplement them. For sophisticated document production and customization, you need a local application. But, in times when you’re away from your Office-equipped applications, that’s where Web Apps shines.

Regardless of where you are or what computer you’re using, you can access Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. You can make or edit documents and post it to SharePoint or save it in your SkyDrive folder.
